What’s wonderful about working for WunderLand?
WunderLand stands alone because of its employees and passion for recruiting & staffing. As a company and individually, we truly care, listen and take the time to get to know you and your job search needs. Culture makes the company and WunderLand has the best culture in the business! And it trickles down to our clients and talent, and they notice.
What do you enjoy about recruiting?
I’m still in love with this business as I was years ago when I got started. What I enjoy most about recruiting is taking care of my candidates and clients. There is no greater reward than developing a relationship with a passive or active job seeker, taking them through the process and ultimately extending a job offer for their dream job. And on the flip side, finding a purple squirrel or the dream candidate to a trusted client partnership, is one of the best feelings.
What’s your take on the current creative, marketing and digital business landscape?
This space is ever changing and also stronger than ever. We are seeing a high demand for exceptional talent in the space of social media, UX, design, analytics and more!
What advice do you have for anyone who is looking for a new job?
If you’re sending the same resume to multiple roles, you’re doing it wrong. To get the most attention, be sure to take the time to tailor your resume specifically for the role at hand to be noticed. If you’re a designer, always show your best work on your portfolio. Don’t be tempted to put everything there if you’re book is light. Less is always more in terms of design, and hiring authorities recognize this and can see your aesthetic with very few, well designed pieces.
Why should a candidate want to work with WunderLand?
There’s a lot of agencies to choose from, WunderLand is different by the sheer relationship model we follow. You’ll notice a difference by our passion and commitment to find you your dream job!
Life is crazy. What keeps you sane? How do you recharge?
I recharge by putting my creative juices to work by painting large abstract art on canvas. I also run, teach my cats crazy tricks and see as many films I possibly can.
Lastly, any quotes, mantras or inspiration for our readers?
I’m inspired by others, their successes and stories. My mantra in life is to take each day as a gift, utilize it to its fullest and practice kindness and respect daily.
